Transport and highways

Getting around

The proposals are designed to improve walking and cycling connections between the site, Hillingdon Station and the surrounding area, while providing carefully managed vehicle access and parking.

01

Cycle parking

Secure cycle-parking spaces will be provided as part of the development, supporting cycling as a convenient and sustainable way to travel.

02

New crossing and public stairway

A new stepped entrance and signalised crossing will create a more direct pedestrian connection between the development and Hillingdon Station.

03

Car parking

The development would provide a car-parking ratio of approximately 0.3 spaces per home. Five per cent of the spaces would be wheelchair accessible, alongside provision for electric-vehicle charging.

Parking would be provided off-street and beneath podiums, helping to reduce the visual impact of parked vehicles.

Hillingdon Station

A more direct connection

A new stepped entrance is proposed at the north-western corner of the site. It would lead to a new signalised Toucan crossing over Long Lane, providing more direct access to Hillingdon Underground Station.

The improvements would make the station easier to reach from the new neighbourhood and strengthen connections with the surrounding walking and cycling network.
